Founded in 2018, the UTS Education Society (EdSoc) is a student-run organisation which aims to connect students socially and provides opportunities and guidance as they move forward into their education career.
The UTS Education Society (EdSoc) welcomes not only students and faculty within the School of Education but from all disciplines, as well as alumni and those outside of the UTS community.
The society values respect, inclusivity and teamwork. Through the efforts of not only its executive members but all members, the UTS Education Society can flourish and become one of the leading societies at the University of Technology Sydney. The society targets the six key graduate attributes embedded within FASS courses; professional readiness, critical and creative inquiry, international and intercultural engagement, indigenous competencies, active citizenship and effective communication.
Our mission at EdSoc is to host a range of social and academic events, both on and off campus, for our members to develop networking skills and equip them with the necessary tools to launch their career towards success. We are passionate about creating a stronger sense of community and pride amongst UTS education students and staff, and to inspire our members to feel empowered about their purpose and ambitions as future educators.
The UTS Education Society is an avenue for networking, developing professional skills and knowledge as well as lifelong friendships.
