Support for students
COVID-19 Student Support Package
In response to the global coronavirus health crisis, UTS has increased their total support funds to A$15-million as part of the Student Support Package to assist impacted students.
Domestic students can apply for:
- Interest-free loan up to A$3,000
- Grants up to A$1,500 to assist with education-related and living expenses;
- UTS Student Housing rental subsidies (up to A$2,000), applicable to UTS Housing residents only

COVID-19 International Student Hardship Fund (currently closed)
In response to the global coronavirus health crisis, UTS has created a A$10-million International Student Hardship Fund to assist impacted students.
International students can claim:
- Additional Accommodation costs
- Self-Isolation costs
- Flight changes costs
- Additional IT costs
