Publishing for Peanuts, first published in 2015, looks at media startups around the globe, their media innovations, industry disruptions, and their business practices as well as examines their financial sustainability.
Director of the media and communications program at Columbia University’s school of International and Public Affairs in New York.
A former business journalist, her interests include investigative journalism, especially in Africa, media entrepreneurship and the evolution of the global news media.
She serves on the board of the Open Society Foundation’s Program on Independent Journalism, and the advisory board of the Natural Resource Governance Institute.
