Architectures of Misinformation #AustraliaBurns
Wednesday 19 February, 6PM - 8PM
The first of a new series, PRECURSOR, in which creative thinkers take hot button issues and cool them down with refreshingly reasonable dialogue.
Gathering UTS experts across fields of digital & social media as well as journalism, this session will offer ways to understand misinformation, conspiracy theories, and 'alternative facts' by carefully unpacking this explosive media landscape.

UTS Professional Experience Conference 2020
Friday 21 February, 8:30am - 4pm
The UTS School of International Studies and Education has planned an exciting conference program, which includes a keynote about the Teaching Performance Assessment (TPA), and tailored, NESA registered workshop sessions for Professional Experience Coordinators and Cooperating Teachers. We also will have panels of recent graduates and colleagues from our school partners, engaging in discussion of what makes a great Professional Experience.
The conference is scheduled to run from 8:45am to 4pm, with catering provided. The day is designed to provide participants with knowledge, skills and an extended professional learning network that will promote success in preservice teachers' professional experiences.
Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences Postgraduate Welcome

Postgraduate Communication, Education and International Studies students are invited to join faculty staff for a special welcome event. This informal Orientation session is a unique opportunity to meet peers in your course, as well as the academics and staff members who will facilitate and support your postgraduate studies.
