Employer of choice for gender equality
UTS is a Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) employer of choice.
This citation recognises that UTS is actively committed to achieving gender equality in the workplace. The UTS WGEA Public Report for 2016 was submitted to the Agency on 01 July 2016.
As part of setting the benchmark in best practice, the Agency recognised UTS's Research Equity Initiative as a leader in supporting academics and researchers with carer responsibilities and promoting gender equity in research.
UTS has been selected as one of 33 Australian universities and research organisations to participate in a pilot program to improve the promotion and retention of women and gender minorities in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM).
The program will enable UTS to build upon our ongoing work to further promote gender equity and create an inclusive teaching and learning culture. You can get more information about the SAGE Athena SWAN Charter here.
