Advances in robotics and artificial intelligence are making new forms of teamwork - with automation, human-robot collaboration and machine-to-machine collaboration - the new frontier in the workforce of tomorrow.
Our research projects
-
INNOVATION
Preventing catastrophic sewer pipe failure
In partnership with Sydney Water, UTS Robotics Institute researchers built an innovative remote-controlled robot to traverse the pipes beneath our feet and identify dangerous concrete corrosion.
-
Your new workmate could be a robot
Collaborative robots might be small and lightweight, but thanks to a novel partnership between the UTS Robotics Institute and Nokia, their computational power could soon outstrip their size.
Our research themes
-
At the UTS Robotics Institute, we undertake innovative and challenging research in robotics across four core focus research themes.
