The Institute for Interactive Media and Learning (IML) provides resources, courses and Faculty liaison support to assist academics and sessional teachers in enhancing learning and teaching :

The ELSSA Centre provides academic and professional English services to students and staff and coordinates an integrated and collaborative approach in the provision of academic English and learning support at UTS.
Course design and assessment
- Advice and resources on course and subject design and assessment are provided through IML.
- The course development website provides essential information on approval and reaccreditation for award courses at UTS.
- The Coursework Assessment Policy and Procedures Manual provides essential information on subject assessment requirements and procedures.
Online learning
UTSOnline is the web-based online learning and teaching environment used at UTS. IML provides academic support and advice on using UTSOnline.
Evaluating teaching and subjects
UTS student feedback systems support staff in collecting feedback on subject and teaching quality. UTS teaching staff are required to collect student feedback on their teaching in at least one subject each semester.
Teaching awards
Annual UTS teaching awards are given for individual teachers and teaching teams who have made exemplary or innovative contributions to teaching. A number of UTS teachers have been winners or finalists in the Australian Awards for University teaching.
