This tutorial and quiz have been developed to help you learn how to do so while avoiding plagiarism.

Avoiding plagiarism is an essential step in the process of learning to write academically.


The purpose of this tutorial is:

  • to identify practices that are regarded as cheating
  • to introduce you to some of the conventions of academic writing in Australian universities

If you understand the conventions of academic writing and follow them in your writing, you can avoid plagiarism.
