As a UTS graduate, you'll have the edge on many other graduates because you will already know how things are done in the real world. Here's why.
You want to work with the best employers
You're choosing university because you want a career that will challenge and excite you. You want employers that will help you develop and pay you what you're worth. As a UTS undergraduate you will have the opportunity to work with the industry partners who help shape our courses.
Most of your lecturers will be current practitioners or researchers in their field. Graduate survey results show that as a UTS graduate, you'll be someone that employers want to hear from.
You want to practice what we teach
You won't just be taught the theory at UTS, you'll also get hands-on experience, whichever course you choose. You can leave with the confidence to go straight into the career you want because you'll already have the practical experience employers are looking for.
You want the best of both worlds
A huge number of our courses are offered part time and with flexible timetabling options like day or evening classes. If you're already working, you don't have to put your career on hold. You can study part time, or you might want to alternate between full time study and work. You really can have the best of both worlds.
You want to know there's someone to lean on
Deciding what course to do and where can be daunting, but what about everything else? Our experience tells us you might be worried about how you will cope with money or where you will live. You might also be concerned whether your health or cultural requirements will be met, what friends you'll make and what career prospects you'll have. We've developed a range of services aimed at helping you with every one of these stages before, during and after your time here. Whatever your needs, there will be someone to help you through.
You want to have a good time
The learning you do at university shouldn't be confined to the lecture theatre. You also need to connect with new people and live a little. You might be into film, gridiron, meditation or wine, there are over 100 clubs and societies at UTS for these and more. The UTS Union also runs bars, cafes and places to eat all over campus. There's a gym and sports clubs, and loads of social groups to plug into. No matter what your tastes are, you'll find a place to explore them at UTS.
You want to study in a great location
As a UTS student you'll have access to all that a big city has to offer. Our City campus is right by Central Station, the heart of Sydney's transport network. From here it's a short hop to Newtown, Glebe, Paddington and beyond. If you're based at our Kuring-gai campus, you'll have the peace of a bushland setting, close to Lane Cove National Park. Free shuttle buses run between the City and Kuring-gai campuses.
