The UTS Union is a great place to eat, meet and hang out with friends. The Union is underground at the bottom of the City campus tower. There's an international food hall and lots of tables where you can sit around and soak up the busy lunchtime atmosphere. In fact there are Union eateries at all the campuses where you can get good, cheap and tasty meals.
The DAB café in the Peter Johnson Building has delicious gourmet food. It's a stylish place to discuss your class projects or hang out over a cup of coffee... There's plenty of eating options off campus too - the noodle bars at Market City, and all the restaurants and cheap eateries in China Town and near Central Railway.
Get to the Glasshouse, Markets or Kuring-gai Union bars for a game of pool, pinball or the latest arcade games. On Thursday nights there's dance music with some of Australia's hottest DJs. Get some laughs at the regular Comedy Slot and Comedy Night at the Glasshouse. Or try your skill at Bar Trivia or Bar Bingo - and win free beers!
The Union also organises activities and cultural experiences to help you relax and make new friends. There are social and activity clubs to join, ranging from the academic to the artistic - so there's something for everyone.
If you just need to chill out, head for the plush student lounges at the City campus, or take a refreshing walk in bushland gardens around the Markets and Kuring-gai campuses. Spread out your books on the tables at the UTS Library, or relax in the News Centre - it's usually full of international students reading the headlines from home...
