Join in, get active and speak out about what you believe in at UTS...
There are over 30 different activities clubs and societies
that you can join and meet like-minded people. The UTS Debating Society is one of the most active on campus, and our teams have competed at the international level.
Visit the UTS Students' Association
(which is run by students for students).
Find out what they do, how it works, the people involved and where to find them at each UTS campus.
Get elected to the Student Representative Council, and help run the Students' Association. You can help to write, edit, design and publish Vertigo - the UTS student magazine. Or become an advocate for other students, as the ATSIC, Ethnic Affairs, Environmental, Overseas Students, Sexuality or Special Needs Officer.
Or get involved in campaigns for student rights, as well as wider social, political and environmental issues... Join a collective like the Education Action Group, the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Collective, the OUTS collective (for lesbian, gay, bisexual and queer people at UTS), the Ethno-Cultural Collective, GreenUTS or the Women's Action Collective.
You can also volunteer at Radio 2SER , Sydney's most dynamic independent radio station, run by students and broadcasting from the top of the Tower Building.
