Student learning support
UTS provides a number of support services and web resources for students.
Web resource sites include
- BELL: improving your learning at University, including information on academic referencing and groupwork.
- LEAP (opens an external site): modules related to broader capabilities like project management and entrepreneurship for research students.
- Avoiding Plagiarism: an interactive site explaining what plagiarism is and how you can avoid it.
On campus services include
- ELSSA Centre: English language support, including support for academic writing.
- Maths Study Centre: Mathematics, Statistics and Computing Skills.
- Learning Design Centres (Faculty of Engineering)
- IT Support Centre
- Library including tours and workshops plus subject resources
- Student services: provide a range of services including learning skills counselling and workshops.
- Ombuds office.
Students with disabilities and other special needs
Special needs service provides information, resources and specific forms of support for students with disabilities and other special needs, including information on assessment, academic liaison officers and the Equity and Diversity unit.
