Overview

UTS Quantitative Finance Postgraduate Scholarship was established to support high performing commencing domestic students who undertake a Faculty of Science postgraduate Masters by coursework program in the area of quantitative finance.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or be the holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or hold a permanent humanitarian visa; and
  • Commence full-time studies, on campus[1] at UTS in 2024 in either the Autumn or Spring Sessions proceeding offer acceptance; and
  • Be commencing in one of the following postgraduate coursework Master Courses from the Faculty of Science: 
    • C04373 - Master of Quantitative Finance; or
    • C04418 - Master of Data Science in Quantitative Finance; or
    • C04419 - Master of Mathematics and Quantitative Finance; and 
  • Meet course admission criteria for one of the eligible postgraduate coursework course, as listed above; and
  • Holders of a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) are not eligible for this scholarship. 


 


[1] On campus studies include face-to-face and/or online (remote) learning teaching activities. This does not include fully online and distance mode degrees. 

 

Selection process

Eligible for an offer into one of the Master Courses in the Quantitative Finance program in the Faculty of Science and commencing in the 2024 Autumn or Spring Sessions. 

Including: Master of Quantitative Finance, Master of Data Science in Quantitative Finance, or Master of Mathematics and Quantitative Finance.

How to apply

Domestic Admissions (Future Learners) will automatically consider all commencing domestic students applying for a quantitative finance master programs in the Faculty of Science for this Scholarship in 2024. 

There is no separate scholarship application required by the candidate or documentation in addition to what is required in the coursework admission application.
