- New staff welcome
Four times a year, the UTS People Unit run orientation for all new UTS staff members. Learn about UTS and meet some of our senior staff members. You'll also get the chance to chat with representatives from the many services available to you as a staff member. Located in Building 6, the LX.lab is your one-stop-shop for learning and teaching support. Attend daily events and up-skilling sessions, or set-up a one-on-one drop-in session with one of our learning technologists. The lab is a space for all academics at UTS, so make sure you stop by. LX.Lab, Building 6, Level 4, LX.lab - 'Teaching for learning.futures' Workshop program for new academics
The Institute for Interactive Media and Learning (IML) offers a workshop program for all new academic staff. Run twice annually, in February and July, just before the start of either of the main UTS sessions. The program helps academics to develop the understanding and confidence to teach subjects aligned with learning.futures - UTS's university-wide approach to blended learning. With sessions on 'active and collaborative learning', 'assessment and feedback', upskill and get the support you need.
