UTS:Chinese Alumni Network
There are around 5,000 UTS alumni of Chinese birth working and living in Australia. In May 2009, the University launched a Sydney-based Chinese Alumni Network. The network was formally launched by The Hon. Helen Sham-Ho, Australia’s first Chinese born Parliamentarian.
The UTS:Chinese Alumni Network comprises a group of enthusiastic volunteers whose aim is to build closer links between alumni and the UTS community. These close connections enrich the University and the experience of its students, as well as strengthening ties with the Chinese community, both locally and in China. All members of the UTS:Alumni community with an interest in Chinese language, history and culture are welcome to join this network.
Alumni Associations in China
The University of Technology, Sydney is a Gold Member of the Australia China Alumni Association (ACAA).
All UTS alumni members living in China can participate in events organised by ACAA and use the networking services provided by the association to connect with other UTS alumni and alumni from other Australian Universities with ACAA membership. Further information about ACAA can be found on their website.
UTS also has active alumni groups in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Alumni residing in the region are welcome to participate in group activities, networking events and professional development workshops, which are held in those three cities.
