2016 has been a great year for the CAIK team which saw the development of stronger relationships within UTS and the broader community. CAIK has also made significant ground on the development of the Indigenous Graduate Attribute and an increasing commitment to higher learning for CAIK’s Indigenous postgraduate students. CAIK academics win award
Professor Susan Page, Professor Michelle Trudgett & Associate Professor Gawaian Bodkin-Andrews were awarded the best scholarly paper for the 2016 HERDSA Conference held in Fremantle 4th - 7th July, 2016. The paper is titled 'Exploring an Indigenous Graduate Attribute project through a critical race theory lens'.
UTS and the Centre for the Advancement of Indigenous Knowledges recognise the Gadigal people as the Traditional Owners and holders of knowledge of the places where our campus stands. We acknowledge elders both past and present and recognise the contribution that Indigenous people make to the academic and cultural life of the university.
