The Executive Certificate in Event Management is regarded as the most prestigious short-course in event management amongst prospective employers and industry leaders in government, corporate and not-for-profit organisations. More than 6,000 students have completed the course over the past 17 years.

Our course presenters** are industry experts who have worked in event management practice and education around the world alongside carefully selected local event industry experts. ACEM UTS course presenters have over 60 years combined experience in event management practice and education around the world. They encourage an open exchange of ideas, so you don’t just learn from the curriculum, but from the years of experience of your presenters and your peers.
Dr Rob Harris doesn’t just know about events. He co-wrote a textbook about it! Festival and Special Event Management is the market-leading text on event management, written specifically within an Australian context. Rob has an international reputation as an event management educator having developed and delivered programs through to Masters level in a variety of locations around the world. He is also serves as a judge for the Australian Event Awards and acts as an assessor for regional event grants for several state governments.
Meg Bailey is a Director of Event Projects, a premium events agency, specialling in on-brand event experiences with bespoke appeal - everything from large scale visual spectaculars to highly stylised and intimate dinners. Over the course of her 20-year career in events management and production, Meg has produced events that include Super Bowl Super Swimsuit Parties, Sports Illustrated Olympic Hospitality Lounges and Olympic parties attended by more than 3500 celebrities, royalty and medal-winning athletes at four consecutive Olympic Games.
Jade Whiteley is a Sydney-based event creator, producer and consultant with extensive experience across a broad range of event genres including festivals, corporate events, gala dinners, major awards ceremonies and community events. For the past four years Jade has held the role of Operations Director for IMG Culinary, delivering nationwide festivals including Taste of Sydney, Taste of Melbourne, Taste of Perth and Margaret River Gourmet Escape.

We designed the Executive Certificate in Event Management course after surveying over 100 event management professionals who have successful careers in event management. We sought out what skills are needed to get ahead in this highly competitive industry.
Today the Executive Certificate in Event Management Course is taught around Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane/Gold Coast, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra) as well as overseas.
ACEM also annually runs a series of innovative 1-day workshops for event professionals.
The 4-day short course costs $1890 (GST-free) and includes all course materials, full day catering (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea) and a certificate of attendance.
A 10% discount is available for registered charity organisations or where two or more staff attend from the same organisation.
