Rebecca Jessop is a Senior Manager in the PriceWaterhouseCoopers health team. She engaged accessUTS’s consulting expertise for a collaborative project with the Pharmacy Guild of Australia and the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.
“The Professional Collaboration Project aims to identify a best practice model for professional collaboration between community pharmacists and other health care professionals in the primary health care setting,” Rebecca says.
“We’re looking to use the project outcomes to make recommendations and implementation requirements for best practice models for professional integration.” Rebecca and her team were paired with UTS Professor Shalom (Charlie) Benrimoj, head of the UTS Graduate School of Pharmacy, who was asked to use his expertise to inform the design of the research project and to determine the project deliverables.
“We were looking for a pharmacy expert to help us design the research project and determine the outputs and deliverables we could reasonably expect the project to produce,” Rebecca says.
“We chose to work with accessUTS in large part because we have a longstanding working relationship with Charlie and because we value his expertise in the area of community pharmacy.”
“We’ve been really pleased with the depth of Charlie’s subject matter expertise and his ability to utilise his networks for the benefit of the project. He has been able to provide input into the project at critical milestones.”
