We asked UTS Rowing star Bo Hanson how he felt in the lead up to his fourth Olympic Games. This is what he told us.

Tell us about your recent training, where have you been training and how has it been?

We have been training in Verese in Italy. It has been going very well and we have posted some fast times.

Can you describe how  you feel now just before the games?

Looking forward to getting on with it. We are ready to race and have prepared extremely well. I have a positive sense of expectation and know that we will do very well.

Apart from the ultimate of  winning a gold medal what do you hope to achieve from your experience?

I want to enjoy this Olympic Games. I certainly want a Gold medal and to execute a perfect race when it counts.

Is this your first games? If not, does it feel different this time?

This is my fourth games and very different from the others. I am very relaxed about this Olympics. I have a positive expectation and do not feel the same pressure as 96 and 2000.
