The Aussie women have made the bronze medal game. We asked Bianca what the atmosphere was like at the games.
The girls were disappointed about going down to Greece and missing out on making the gold medal game, but now they are pulling themselves together and concentrating on the bronze medal game. USA will be another hard team, but I’m sure they can do it.
The Greek crowd is really full on. There's been many conversations about how Aussies boo at the footy, but we NEVER boo like they do it's incredible. They have some great cheers too though.
There is a tent set up where athletes can meet up with family and friends, it even has internet access so athletes can check their hero messages. We met Suzanne Balogh, the Australian Gold Medal shooter, in there the other day. I even got to touch her gold medal – it was fantastic!
We heard the women had a great third game, so we spoke to Bianca to get more news.
It was an amazing game, they drew with Greece. The best news is that even with a draw in the next game the women are in the semi finals - they will definitely be playing for a medal!
We spoke to Bianca to see how Jemma and the Australian team were going after their first two games.
I can't believe I just watched my sister play in the Olympics for Australia - how great is that!
The girls have been fabulous so far. They had a really great game against Italy, the favourites, and won! Then they won against Kazakastan as well. The atmosphere is lots of fun, helped along by our big group of Aussies decked out in our t-shirts with flags and face paint. We all lost our voice from cheering after the first game, but we bought horns and maracas so we can still make lots of noise.
The next game is against Greece, and is going to be a tough one. But hopefully we will be successful again.
We asked Bianca how she and her family were feeling before they set off to Athens.
This is Jemma's first Olympics, and my whole family is pretty excited about it! We are all heading over to watch her play, and judging from the emails we are getting from her already it's going to be a lot of fun.
Jemma is one of two goalkeepers, so she might not play every game, but we have tickets to them all anyway! There is a round of five games before the finals, and Australia has to face some tough teams to get through, including Italy first up.
