Withdrawal

If you no longer wish to continue your course you must withdraw.

Before you withdraw from your course, you should contact UTS International to discuss your decision.

You should also discuss your decision with your Faculty or a counsellor in the Student Services Unit. There may be some other way of dealing with your immediate problem so that you can continue your study at a later date. For example, it may be possible to apply for Leave of Absence . If you are a Research Student you must consult your supervisor before submitting your notice of course withdrawal online.

Student visa holders

If you are in Australia on a student visa it is a condition of your visa that you maintain your enrolment at UTS for the full duration of your visa.

If you withdraw from your course, UTS is required by law to notify the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).

Unless you apply for another kind of visa or enrol at a different institution, DIAC may cancel your student visa within 28 days of your withdrawal.

If you have withdrawn from your course you must contact DIAC as soon as possible on:

to discuss your options.

Transferring to another Institution

If you are leaving UTS to pursue your studies at another institution, you may need to apply for a release letter.

How to withdraw
