UTS encourages short-term visits by delegations from abroad as an excellent way to identify areas of mutual collaboration and build reciprocally beneficial relationships. The duration of visits can be a few hours to a full day and occasionally, a week or more.
International Relations staff from UTS International will coordinate and host university-wide visits and also provide advice and assistance to faculties and units organising programs for visits with a specific area of interest.
Due to the high volume of and immense pressure from requests received, not all visits will be accommodated. Proposals from Travel Agencies are unlikely to be granted approval.
Official Visits to UTS:
All requests to visit, for any reason, must be forwarded to International Relations, UTS International for approval and/or registration on the International Relations Visitor Database.
Faculties and other units within the University must advise International Relations as soon as a request for an intended visit is received by providing a copy of the original request along with the completed Internal Advice - Request to Visit Form (pdf 26 kb) by fax or e-mail.
External requests to visit UTS should be made in writing by:
- Completing our online International visit requests form
The form may also be obtained upon request by contacting the Senior Advisor, International Relations (Visits) by phone +612 9514 9973 or e-mail ir.visits@uts.edu.au
To enable a suitable, mutually beneficial visit to be organised, at least ten working days' notice of the visit should be given. Please note that submission of the request form does not guarantee that UTS will be able to facilitate the visit.
UTS staff requiring information about visits should review the International Visitor Guidelines document. All visits are recorded on the Visitors Groupwise Diary which staff may also access through Staff Resources.
