Dual Degree PhD Scholarship Programs
The Dual Degree PhD Scholarship Program is an international and collaborative research learning experience. You have the opportunity to enrol into the UTS PhD program under joint supervision from both your home university and UTS. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded a PhD degree from both your home university and UTS.
The Dual Degree PhD Scholarship Programs below offer a range of disciplinary areas and scholarships. Please contact your home university to discuss your options further.
- Shanghai Jiao Tong University – UTS Dual Degree PhD Scholarship Program
Disciplinary areas: Information Technology, subject to availability of supervisors.
Scholarships: The student can be sponsored by the China Scholarship Council PhD stipend scholarship and UTS tuition and stipend scholarship.
Outcome: Upon successful completion, the student can be awarded both the SJTU and UTS PhD degree.
- Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – UTS Dual Degree PhD Scholarship Program
Disciplinary areas: no restrictions, subject to availability of supervisors.
Scholarships: The student can be sponsored by the China Scholarship Council PhD stipend scholarship and UTS tuition and stipend scholarship.
Outcome: Upon successful completion, the student can be awarded both the HUST and UTS PhD degree.

- Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) – UTS Dual Degree PhD Scholarship Program
Disciplinary areas: no restrictions, subject to availability of supervisors.
Scholarships: The student can be sponsored by the China Scholarship Council PhD stipend scholarship and UTS tuition and stipend scholarship.
Outcome: Upon successful completion, the student can be awarded both the BIT and UTS PhD degree.

Articulation programs
This opportunity allows you to study in two educational frameworks and increase your international understanding of your area of study. This arrangement works by providing credit recognition for your studies which will articulate into a UTS degree.
- Sogang University - Diploma of Business articulation program
Agreement: Upon satisfactory completion of the one year Sogang Diploma of Business in Seoul, with the required English language proficiency results, you can articulate into the second year of the Bachelor of Business at UTS in Sydney.
Outcome: With successful completion of year 2 and 3 at UTS, you will be awarded a UTS bachelor degree.
