The Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Health is one of Australia's leading universities for nurse and midwifery education, supported by cutting-edge research. Courses are developed in consultation with industry and are supported by area health services, government and health agencies, which assist in course development.
UTS undergraduate nursing students start clinical practice in hospitals and other health care facilities earlier than any other nursing student in New South Wales (NSW). UTS has a graduate employment rate of close to 100% for its nursing students (Source: 2006 Graduate Destination Survey).
Modern clinical laboratories include simulated hospital wards equipped with electronic manikins, integrating the latest medical technology in the teaching environment.
The Faculty is dedicated to advancing the professional status and practice of nursing, midwifery and health services management, and offers a range of postgraduate courses.
