The Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building has an international reputation for progressive professional coursework programs. Its courses are highly respected by industry as they are both practical and at the forefront of industry trends. Many are accredited and recognised by international professional associations such as the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, the Design Institute of Australia, and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Faculty staff include academics and practitioners from around the world, who combine high levels of professional expertise in research and practice. As a result, staff and students continue to push the boundaries of innovative education.
Facilities include modern spaces for exhibitions and conferences; professional teaching spaces equipped with stateof- the-art computers; a photographic studio supported by digital technology; an industrial design workshop space including the capacity for 3D printing and 3D scanning; a creative imaging laboratory incorporating high-level software for 3D computing animation, 3D modelling, the moving image and interactive media; a broadcast-quality video studio and editing suite; fashion and textile design workshops; and a building laboratory.
