UTS Offshore provides project management support and services to faculties/institutes to facilitate their development and academic management of the offshore activities.
In particular, UTS Offshore:
- Advises senior management on policy development for all offshore activities.
- Supports and facilitates faculties/institutes in the planning, development and approval processes for all new and revised proposals for offshore activities. This includes advice, preparation of partnership agreements and ongoing monitoring of the arrangements. Details of the offshore development functions and project management support are provided in the appendix of the UTS Offshore Teaching and Learning Activities Operational Directives.
- Manages the relationship with offshore agencies and international partners involved in UTS offshore teaching and learning activities.
- Performs a central coordination role for all central administration services for the offshore programs, to ensure information flows and the appropriate use of university resources . This includes amongst others, the provision of Chinese translation of:
- UTS Rules and selected policies
- Relevant sections of the UTS Handbook other than course specific information
- UTS Forms (relevant student administration forms)
- Course Feedback Survey Form for programs delivered offshore
- UTS Student Guide (standard UTS information to be supplemented by Faculty Guide)
- Award titles in testamur.
- Performs a central coordination role for the review and monitoring of all offshore activities. These reports are submitted to Commercial Activities Committee of Council and Academic Board.
