Assessment process and timeline

Exchange assessment process

UTS will assess your application against other applications based on academic merit, degree stage and degree-specific criteria. If two applicants with the same average academic mark apply for the same place, their personal statement will be used to help determine which applicant is most suited to the destination.

If UTS approves your application a UTS Exchange Officer will notify you of your partner university allocation by email. Once you receive this email, you will need to accept or decline the allocation offer by the date specified in the email. If you fail to accept the allocation within the time specified, UTS may to be forced to withdraw recommendation of your application to the partner institution.

If you accept your offer then you need to pick your subjects and have them approved by your UTS faculty. Once your subjects are approved you will need to fill in the host university application forms. These will be provided to you by a UTS Exchange Officer. It is important for you to be aware that although most students' applications are accepted by the host institution, the host university has the final say in accepting your application.
