International Students

Appropriate timing

If you are an undergraduate student, you should have passed 48 credits of your degree by the time you go on exchange. If you are a postgraduate student, you should have completed and passed 24 credits. You will also need to consider the eligibility criteria specific to your faculty:

Law

You can go on exchange after you have completed the UTS subject Equity and Trusts.

Design, Architecture and Building

Undergraduate design degrees (except Architecture) are advised to go on exchange in the second semester of the third year. The first semester of the third year may be considered.

Architecture students
BA Architecture students should go in the first or second semester of the third year.

MA Architecture students should go in the middle semesters of their degree.

Arts and Social Sciences

Communication, Education and Global Studies

Communication and Education postgraduate students are encouraged to go in the second semester. Communication students starting their degree in 2009 onwards go on exchange in second semester second year.

In-country Study

Students need to have completed their In-country Study year before going on exchange.
