Bridging courses are short intensive courses designed for high school students entering tertiary study. It is for students who are not confident with their preparation for university study, or they may not meet the assumed knowledge requirements.
Bridging courses only teach to an introductory level and may assist in narrowing the gap between high school and university studies. Subjects taught in bridging courses do not carry any credit towards your degree.
Students entering tertiary study without the recommended knowledge in a particular area should consider doing a bridging course. This may include students enrolling in courses such as engineering, business, nursing, architecture, traditional Chinese medicine and information technology.
Bridging courses are available to all students, including students who do not intend to study at UTS.
All courses are taught at the UTS City Campus (Broadway).
Places are limited and enrolment is based on a first come, first served basis. All Maths bridging courses are free for UTS enrolled students.

The UTS Mathematics Bridging Book can then be collected at the Maths bridging course venue on the first day of the course. Students will only need one book, even if they are attending more than one maths bridging course. This book is no longer sold at the UTS Union Shop.
