Acceptance and enrolment information for fee paying international students
Congratulations! Your application for admission to the University of Technology Sydney was successful.
To accept this offer, please:
- Read the Statement of protocol on fees and refunds for international students studying in Australia.
- Read the UTS Release Protocol
- Complete the Acceptance Form (PDF, 79kB)
- Organise payment of the required tuition fee deposit as outlined in your Course Offer Summary. You may pay your fees using a bank draft or bank cheque, which should be drawn from a bank in Australia and made payable to the 'University of Technology Sydney'.

You are required to accept your offer and make payment within 14 days of receipt of your "Offer of Admission" letter or by 31 January 2017, whichever is earlier.
If you decide not to enrol after accepting your offer you may incur a financial penalty. For further information please refer to the Statement of protocol on fees and refunds for international students studying in Australia and the UTS Release Protocol.
You may be able to defer commencement of your course for up to 12 months. Go to Deferring your offer for more information.
Note: not all courses have mid-year intakes and any deferment of offer will be subject to the entry requirements and the fees applicable to the requested intake.
At the time of enrolment you must hold a visa that allows you to study for the full duration of your course. Go to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection website (opens an external site) for further information. If you currently have a student visa you must apply for a higher education sector visa (subclass 500) before commencing at UTS.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
The Australian Government requires international students to maintain a valid health insurance, or Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), for the duration of their student visa. UTS does not arrange OSHC on your behalf if you already have an existing OSHC. You are responsible for extending your OSHC for the duration of your student visa.
Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
A copy of your CoE certificate will be sent to the Australian Diplomatic Post specified on your reply slip, as well as by email to the address you provided when the deposit is received by UTS International. Alternatively, if you are currently in Australia, you can collect the CoE from the UTS International student centre.
Orientation and enrolment
You will receive information regarding Orientation and Enrolment after you have accepted your offer.
The Orientation and Session Start period for Session 1 (Autumn) runs from Monday 6 March to Friday 10 March 2017 and for Calendar B from Monday 20 to Friday 24 February 2017. Please refer to your offer letter to confirm which orientation program you need to attend (Calendar A or Calendar B).
Commencement of classes
Session 1 (Autumn) will commence on Monday 13 March 2017.
