Visa requirements

At the time of enrolment you must hold a visa that allows you to study for the full duration of your course. Go to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection website (opens an external site) for further information. If you currently have a student visa you must apply for a higher education sector visa (subclass 500) before commencing at UTS.

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
The Australian Government requires international students to maintain a valid health insurance, or Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), for the duration of their student visa. UTS does not arrange OSHC on your behalf if you already have an existing OSHC. You are responsible for extending your OSHC for the duration of your student visa.

Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)

A copy of your CoE certificate will be sent to the Australian Diplomatic Post specified on your reply slip, as well as by email to the address you provided when the deposit is received by UTS International. Alternatively, if you are currently in Australia, you can collect the CoE from the UTS International student centre.
