Production Support and Equipment Store staff support teaching and learning in subjects taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Students have access to specific facilities and equipment when they are enrolled in production subjects.
The Production Support and Equipment Store facilities include:
New media & computer facilities - the computing facilities are specialised limited access laboratories
Film and Video Studio - the Film and Video Studio provides teaching and learning in the contexts of workshops and classroom support
Audio Facilities - the audio facilities include three major production control rooms, equipped for Music/Audio Arts, Post Production and 5.1 Film Mix, housed around a shared recording floor and separate booth, plus six production workstations, a radio broadcast studio, and the latest ProTools software.
Journalism Research Room - staff provide learning and production support for students enrolled in journalism subjects, supported by a wide range of databases, newspapers and audio visual material
Portable Equipment Store - stocked with an extensive range of state-of-the-art sound, film and video equipment, and staffed by an experienced technical support team
Staff in Production Support have specialist knowledge and skills in a range of media production areas including film, television, sound, radio and print. The staff of Production Support work closely with lecturers in teaching and supporting production course work.
