Professor of Adult Education and Director, Research Centre for Vocational Education and Training
Professor McDonald's professional experience includes responsibilities as a senior administrator, project manager and policy adviser, as well as positions of leadership in academia and research, most recently as Foundation Dean of the Faculty of Education, UTS. His involvement in the field of Vocational Education and Training at state and national levels includes membership of the ANTA Transition Team on Assessment, the NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB), and the Assessors and Workplace Trainers Competency Standards Body. He has developed a national policy on VET for the Australian Council of Deans of Education and was engaged as Consultant to the NSW TAFE Commission on the establishment of the Assessment Centre for Vocational Education.
