You can save your most
commonly used email addresses, telephone numbers, and physical
adresses in Netscape's Address Book as
cards. You can also
create more than one address book or group addresses into
lists for sending email to more than one person.
To open the address book choose Address Book from the
Window menu.
The left pane lists your directories, including your Personal
Address Book and the UTS Staff Directory where you can find other
UTS staff (see the FAQ under the
headings "Configuring Netscape" and "How do I add the UTS Staff
Directory to Netscape Mail and Newsgroups").

Cards

Netscape calls address entries
cards, where you can
not only enter email addresses but other information as well. To
place a new entry into your Personal Address Book, select the
Personal Address Direcotry, and click on the
New Card
button.
The Card Entry box appears allowing you to enter information
into three sections selected with tabs: Name, Contact, and
Notes.
At the minimum, cards need to have a name and email address
entered. When the card is completed click on the OK
button.
Address Book can remember nicknames, so that when you send an
email address to someone who you've created a card for with the
nickname "friend" for example, all you have to do is type
"friend" in the recipient field and Mail and Newsgroups will
automatically fill in the rest .
Lists

Address Book also allows you to create
lists of
email addresses. For example, if you are working on a project
with several people in a work group, you can create a list called
Project Team and list all the email addresses of everyone
you want to include in the list. Whenever you want to send an
email to all the people in that list, just type in
Project
Team as a recipient.
Tip...
You can also add cards to your address book
by clicking on the email addresses in the messages you receive in
Mail and Newsgroups. Address Book automatically creates a
new card and fills in the name and email address fields.
