UTS Maintains a Mailing List server, which is a server which coordinates the sending of email to a group of people (a 'list'). Interested people can 'subscribe' themselves to these lists, and receive emails from that list.
Some lists are intended for announcements, while others are for discussion amongst the list members themselves. Similarly, some lists are private and some are open to the public. Each list has its own web page with information regarding its purpose.
You can subscribe to a list either by using the list's web page, or by email by sending an email to a special "request" address.
Many lists also have an Archive function which displays past messages on the web.
