UTS does not accept email messages with executable attachments. This is a security measure to reduce the amount of potentially harmful material (such as Viruses) sent to our community.

If you received a message which directed you to this web page and you did not send an executable to someone at UTS, please disregard the email.

If you have a genuine need to mail the executable content please consider the following workarounds:

  • Rename the filename so that it no longer has an executable filename extension.
  • If the content is available on the World Wide Web consider providing a link to the content for the person to download.
  • Place the content inside a ZIP archive which is password protected and provide the recipient with the password to open the ZIP archive.

UTS staff and students may contact the IT Support Centre for assistance.
