    BANKS AND CREDIT CARDS

    Banks are open from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30 am to 5.00 pm on Friday. Foreign exchange facilities are also available at airports and in the larger hotels.

    Automatic teller machines and most retail outlets accept selected international credit cards.

    SHOPPING

    Shops are open seven days. Monday to Friday opening hours are from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm with late night shopping on Thursday to 9.00 pm. On Saturday and Sunday most shops are open from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm.

    WHAT TO WEAR

    Generally, dress code in Australia is informal and this style of dress is acceptable for the conference sessions.

    CLIMATE

    In July, Sydney's temperatures range from 8°c - 16°c or 46°f - 61°f. If we are lucky, the days will be fine and sunny!

    TRANSPORT

    Trains, metropolitan buses, tour and country buses and a light rail system are all within five minutes walking distance of the University.

    Car parking is not available at the university except for people with a disability.

    SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

    Sydney Kingsford-Smith International Airport is located 11 km from the city centre. Downtown hotels are best reached from the airport by taxi (approximately AUD$20.00) or Airport Express Bus ($5.50 one way).

    CONFERENCE VENUE

    The venue for the conference is the UTS City Campus which is situated adjacent to the Central Business District (and Central Railway Station). The venue is easily accessible by public transport and is 30 minutes by taxi from the airport.
