The university is strengthening its support for the development of English language proficiency. The following range of support and services will be available in 2012:

For students:

• A free drop-in centre for individual consultations through the Higher Education Language & Presentation Support (HELPS) section of SSU
• Free, non-credit workshops on English language and academic literacy for coursework students through HELPS
• Free consultations and non-credit workshops for research students through UGS
• Practise your English language conversation skills through the Conversations@UTS program

For staff:

• Assistance with embedding academic and professional language and literacies in the curriculum through IML
• Service teaching through FASS
