Academic progression

As a student, you are expected to meet a minimum rate of academic progress:

Undergraduate students

Must pass 50 per cent of the credit points for the subjects in which they have been enrolled over the duration of the course.

Postgraduate coursework students

Each faculty has specific guidelines about minimum rate of progress for their postgraduate coursework students.

Information on requirements for each course is included in the UTS Handbook.

International students

International students studying on student visas are subject to restrictions and requirements that do not apply to other students. It is extremely important that you understand these academic progress requirements for international students.

Failure to meet progress requirements

If at the end of any half year of study, in any year of enrolment in your course, you fail to meet this requirement you may be placed on academic caution.
