Sydney’s cultural delights.....

Sydney’s a great place , sure you may not think that when first you arrive when the people you meet are from here and they seem to date people from the same three private schools. But once you get over that inbreeding culture, Sydney does certainly have its charm, I get so worked up when people say Sydney is not as culturally diverse as Melbourne, well this week I went to two bands and 3 shows in the Sydney comedy festival, a gallery opening and ate a free meal with the Hare Krishna’s now if that aint a cultural feast then I don’t know what is.

Juggling time...

Just recently I was faced with the issue of time management, well I suppose I am faced with time management all the time (sorry bad pun) but as semester just started I am already starting to get bogged down with social and study obligations. So I just thought I would run by you some of my favourite excuses I use to get out of things, now you can use these for both study or social obligations;

1) Horrible rash seems to work for all occasions, I must admit don’t use this if you intend to go out in public on a summers day as the amount of skin visible may lead people to believe that your rash may be somewhere private.
2) Dead relative, I know its not really pc but you have many relatives so why not make use of them
3) House fumigation, and you can’t get out/in
4) Bad haircut, everyone can sympathise
5) Excess body hair appeared over night, works better the night after full moon.

If you want more excuses, but I know you won’t because your all studious try this site out.

Sick excuses.

Hey if your wheels are powered by feet then read on...

Hi, I ride to UNI and I thought if there was other people out in the wide UNIverse that did the same or are thinking of riding (why wouldn't you its cheap and parking is a breeze) then I have a few tips. Well my first point is don't park illegally, my first year I parked in the IT building and had my bike clamped by the angry security man. They eventually pointed out that parking was available downstairs in building 10, so if you want dry parking that is an option, there is parking in front of the Tower building also. The actual riding part safely to uni well there is a number of bike routes which I have provided a link to.

So happy and safe travels.

Introduction to me your guide for this tour, the exits are here, here and ....

Hello well if we are going to be communicating with each other the least I can do is introduce my self. My name is Nick and I am studying my masters at UTS, the masters is in Animation and it’s the first time the course is being run at this university for that matter this is the only type of this course in NSW well it was at the time of applying for the course. What makes this course a little different is that it is a multi faculty course which is one of the first of its kind for this university, with its main base in Design but also has aspects of IT and Humanities faculties.

So as you can imagine the course has started with a lot of expectation as to what the students will produce and how the course will run. I must say like with anything the course has had its teething problems in its early stages but now we are full steam ahead. I am currently doing my main project which promises to be extremely challenging.

Ok that is enough about the course, I will tell you a little about my interests, well I am a social person who enjoys a good yarn and a good beer which is lucky as we have great facilities to do both at UTS, well we are pretty much situated in the heart of the city so I can get a good yarn and beer where ever I roam.

Well I think that is enough of an introduction I am sure I will write you soon.
