Power to the brain

Only two more days and I am officially 5/8 of the way through my degree. Although the end is beginning to seem a bit more realistic I’m finding myself fondly wishing that it doesn’t go to fast. I mean life is good. I work two jobs yes but I also get to see my friends every day of the week and that’s just the social bonuses. I still find most of my degree interesting and thankfully for me I enjoy learning. If I didn’t I might find four years at uni a struggle.

I over heard someone in the café talking about studying techniques the other day. Things like wearing the right colour to stimulate your brain. (I once wore a truly horrible yellow jumper to test this theory. I did alright but I don’t give credit to the jumper). Or using scents while studying and then during the exam you put on the same scent and you find your brain making connections. I let them in on a secret. Its Bacopa monniera. It’s a herb that was used by monks to remember their ridiculously long chants. It is defiantly a wonder herb when it comes to studying. You have to take it a couple of weeks before your exams but it can make a world of difference. Here is a link to the website of the people who brought it to Australia because of a footballer called Adam Ritson. This company is also the company that has done all the research.

Well that’s to help the brain strain….

Peace
