Programs and projects

UTS supports community enrichment through the following programs and projects:

  • UTS Shopfront helping your local community organisation share in the knowledge and expertise of UTS students and staff.

  • Wingara indigenous employment and career development strategy aims to secure for Indigenous people established, permanent positions as they become vacant within the University. Partnerships will also be established with external funding bodies to support special programs such as Traineeships and Cadetships. Through a range of employment options, UTS aims to exceed the NSW State Government target of 2% representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.

  • Work training placements at UTS for people with disabilities scheme is offered through CRS Australia, as part of the client's Employment Plan.

  • UTS: Gallery encourages UTS students, staff and the public to engage with visual art and design by providing a context for the enjoyment and wider understanding of contemporary practice. UTS Gallery was established in 1995 as a not-for-profit gallery dedicated to exhibiting emerging and established arts practitioners.
