UTS Business School is committed to the pursuit of excellence in research and to knowledge that has real-world impact.
Our researchers come from diverse backgrounds in accounting, finance, economics, management and marketing. They are involved in both theoretical and applied research, in national and international contexts, and across the private, public and community sectors. They take a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach – bringing together skills and knowledge from diverse fields – to tackle the critical problems faced by businesses and other public and private organisations today.
The high priority the Business School gives to engagement with industry and community is also reflected in its research work. Many of our researchers continue to practise in the professional world and share their research findings and expertise with industry, government and community via professional consultancy services. Some of our research is conducted on a contract basis for industry or in other forms of research partnership.
Our researchers are published in leading academic journals, invited to address prestigious conferences, called on by the media and others to provide expert opinion and have a strong record of attracting funding.
