TD School recognised at top national teaching awards
Three UTS TD School academics have been recognised for their teaching excellence at one of Australia’s top higher education accolades.
The TD School’s Envisioning Futures Team – Dr Susanne Pratt, Dr Giedre Kligyte and Claire Marshall – received citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning at the 2021 Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT).
The awards, which recognise the impact that educators have on students’ learning and teaching experiences and outcomes, celebrate and reward programs and practices that support students and enhance learning.
The Envisioning Futures Team were awarded a citation for transforming BCII students into transdisciplinary future thinkers. AAUT judges commended their “sustained, exciting, and innovative project that has clear benefits to student learning, skill development and connections with employability opportunities.”
The success and impact of our university is in no small part due to the hard work of our staff to advance knowledge and learning that equips our students with the skills critical to their future.
