UTS has established strategic partnerships with universities and academic communities throughout the world to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and resources. The UTS Strategic Plan lists 'leadership in internationalising student experience' as one of the principal drivers for realising our vision of becoming a world leading university of technology. It also lists international student mobility and cultural engagement as one of the centerpieces of the UTS model.
UTS has led the way in providing opportunities for students to engage in overseas studies as part of their degree programs.
We offer the highly successful International Studies program which gives students the opportunity to combine their degree with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. All international studies students spend at least one semester studying at partner institutions in countries where English is not the predominant language. The program gives students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the language and culture of another country while learning at partner institutions.
We also have a Global Exchange program which enables UTS students to study for 1-2 semesters at overseas partner universities and receive credit towards their degree for that study. UTS has over 130 student exchange agreements with universities in Asia, Europe, North America and South America, providing students with a plethora of options to experience different cultures and develop global skills.
