Join us for the grand final of the Association of Corporate Counsel Australia Challenge, where two teams of the best and brightest Faculty of Law students pitch their solution to a real legal problem regarding corporate regulation. Only one team can take out the challenge, come and find out who it will be!
During the past month, four teams of law students have worked with an in house counsel mentor to tackle a hypothetical problem involving legal, practical and commercial issues. A panel of expert judges have acted as a board of directors to assess both oral and written submissions and from this have determined two teams to participate in the finals.
The teams will present their solution again to the judges who will determine the winner on the evening.
The Faculty of Law has proudly partnered with the Association of Corporate Counsel Australia (the peak body for in house lawyers) with support from Thomson Reuters and Herbert Smith Freehills to give students this unique opportunity to work closely with real in house counsel as team mentors and to communicate with external counsel who are practicing corporate lawyers.
Members from the winning team will receive an internship from a renowned corporate company as well as free access to Thomson Reuters Practical Law - a platform that provides essential know-how for Australian legal professionals.
