Innovation is at the heart of engineering and information technology. At UTS, we’re developing ideas and technology that break conventions to improve lives and society, not just in Australia but around the world.
We produce outcome-driven, user-centred research, and incorporate this into our students’ learning.
Engineering researchers at UTS are working on a device that enables the severely disabled to control technology with thought alone
Researchers at UTS have invented a novel non-invasive test for the detection of oral cancer
IT researchers at UTS are working with the Children’s Hospital at Westmead to make sense of clinical data with the aim of helping clinicians make more informed decisions on how to best treat each individual patient
UTS 3 Minute Thesis (3MT™) finals

Finalists compete for cash prizes and the title of UTS 3MT winner. Here is a selection of videos from the UTS 2014 and 2015 Finals.
