Are you passionate about engaging with students to shape future generations of talent and the workforce with industry-relevant skills?

UTS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences offers you and your organisation a range of options to engage with our uniquely skilled students in a way that ensures mutually beneficial experiences for you and the students.

Our students combine the critical and creative thinking and problem-solving skills central to the Humanities with specialist skills through a unique suite of degree combinations, which makes them a distinctive value-add to your organisation.

What is Work Integrated Learning?

Work Integrated Learning (WIL) represents collaboration between industry and the university to engage students in a work integrated learning experience as part of their university studies. WIL can take place in the organisation’s workplace and in the classroom.

UTS Arts and Social Sciences is committed to enhancing the student experience with a connected Work Integrated Learning journey throughout our degrees, through which students engage in cumulative WIL experiences and activities as a degree progresses. This aims to build their professional skills and confidence in engaging with industry.

In their first year, students engage in foundational activities like simulations or industry panels; in second year they think about and solve industry problems in more developmental activities with industry partners in the classroom and in their final year students engage in professional experiences by applying their knowledge and skills while interning in host organisations.
