New sports media course scores high-profile lecturer

Award-winning broadcaster Tracey Holmes has joined UTS as a senior lecturer in the new Graduate Diploma in Sports Media program. Launched this year, the diploma is the first postgraduate qualification in Sydney to specialise in sports media.

Tracey’s latest endeavour sees her at the forefront of sports journalism: that is, helping to inspire and equip future professionals.

“Tracey Holmes is one of the nation’s most accomplished, inspiring and brightest broadcasters. We are fortunate to have her with us,” says Head of UTS Journalism Peter Fray.

Launched this year, the Graduate Diploma in Sports Media is the first postgraduate qualification in Sydney to specialise in sports media.

The transdisciplinary nature of the course delivers a unique learning experience, where students will harness the skills to expand their career opportunities in media management, sports administration, journalism and marketing.

Candidates interested in hearing more about this new Graduate Diploma in Sports Media are welcome to attend the upcoming Communication Postgraduate Information Evening on Thursday 27 April at 6pm. Applications will be accepted for the next Spring intake.
