Diversity Week

14 — 18 August 2017

A week of free events that celebrate the diversity of our campus community

Create Reciprocal Understanding In Psychiatry

Friday, 4 August

Where: UTS:Hatchery

Five international, interstate and local artists with experience of mental health issues will perform a piece of work each in this exploratory platform, to provoke and entice respectful conversation with invited service users and current and future health care professionals. We intend for this dialogue to strengthen an ethos of ‘doing with’ rather than ‘doing to’, and ultimately allow room to focus on healthcare models that are nurturing and person-centered.

This is an extraordinary event where the arts become a powerful vehicle for social change.

Places are limited, so please RSVP by Friday 28 July via the Registrations page.

To discuss access requirements, or if you would like more information, please contact Sarah Houbolt, Equity & Diversity Unit, UTS on email Sarah Houbolt or phone 9514 2229.
